STRACK LIFT AUTOMATION GmbH is an independent, medium-sized family owned company that specializes in the production of controls, control panels, light grids and electronics for lifts since 1987. Our customers are lift and gate manufacturers as well as medium and large lift operators in Germany and Europe. Due to the lean organizational structure, we are able to produce a variety of high-quality and reliable products and offer first-class service for this.

On 14 July 2005 the name STRACK Steuerungstechnik GmbH was changed to STRACK LIFT AUTOMATION GmbH. This change of the company name was deemed necessary in order to take into consideration the enlarged business activity after taking over large sections of LEHNER Optoelektronik GmbH and LEHNER Automatisierungs- und Steuerungstechnik GmbH.

Development and Production

STRACK developes any mechanics, hardware and software with own engineers and computer scientists to ensure maximum quality. With qualified staff, it is possible to produce a high quality product "Made in EU" at any time.

Today, more than 200 different series with more than 10,000 variants are manufactured. Both the automatic printed circuit board assembly, and CNC machining, manual assembly and tests are carried out on the site Wülfrath. This ensures short distances and a fast feedback loop between development, production and testing.

Promises to the long term availability

Usually, STRACK customers do not need their own warehouse. We are able to supply spare parts of standard equipment in the shortest possible time.

In addition, we maintain a long-term storage facility in which electronic components are stored e.g. under nitrogen. Thus, it ensures a spare parts provision for standard equipment of at least 10 years after completion of the normal series production, so usually much longer than 10 years.

STRACK is top supplier 2019 + 2020 + 2022 of the Gemeinschaft Aufzugstechnik eG, a union of more than 80 medium-sized elevator manufacturers in Germany to a cooperative.

100% eco energy

Our Wülfrath location works 100% with clean natural electricity, which has been supplemented by our own photovoltaic system since 2024. We also only use natural electricity and green gas for heating, air conditioning and generating hot water with the help of our heat pumps.

Memberships

STRACK is a sponsor of the Junior Uni Wuppertal - a teaching and research facility for young people between the ages of four and twenty that is unique up to now. It is financed almost entirely privately and has broad social support. In close cooperation with the Bergische Universität Wuppertal, it develops and tests new concepts for knowledge transfer, including new digital learning formats. With more than 77000 course places occupied in over 6700 courses, the Junior Uni has made a name for itself since it opened in 2008 as an extracurricular place of scientific and practical education.

The VFA-INTERLIFT e. V. was founded in 1987 and it is the "home port" of the German manufacturers of lifts and components. It is acknowledged and esteemed abroad as the only German association for lift technology. The VFA exchanges views and experience with foreign lift associations like the British LEIA, the French AFA, the Spanish FEEDA and AECAE, the Italian ANACAM and ANICA and, not least, also with the American NAEC.
